Took these photos in the Annex yesterday while waiting to pick up a review copy of a game. I love little ornaments like this, and the area (Palmerston and Harbord) is easily one of the prettiest residential neighborhoods in Toronto.

So, I can’t draw, but one day, I’d like to. I bought a little sketchbook the other day, and have been trying to get something in there every day. I liked today, because I felt like the balled up fist started shitty and turned out better over time.
The face was a lot better until I decided to get adventurous and put it in ink. Lesson learned: I need a steadier hand. This was the picture I used things for.

Around two years ago (Christmas second year, I think), my friend Steph gave me these speakers. All the surfaces are covered with little inside jokes and things she knew I’d like. She’s in Korea right now at one of their colleges, and it’s been a bit difficult keeping in touch; the time difference is something like 13 hours, so a lot of the times I’m wondering if it’s too early or late to try to talk to her.

I have to applaud her for chasing her dream and leaving Canada behind; she seems really happy over there, and I wish her nothing but success. It’s nice, though, catching these out of the corner of my eye and ending up with a big ol’ grin on my face.

“And The Winner Is…” - The Legend of Korra S01xE06

I’ve been enjoying the new Avatar: The Legend of Korra cartoon so much I figure I would start doing some small recap/review articles about it. They will usually contain spoilers, so I’ve decided to out the rest of the review behind a big ol’ “Read More” link, that you can click through in order to read.

If you read this recap/review and enjoy it, consider sharing it with your friends via reblog, or recommending a follow. Thanks!

LMFAO Cover of the Day: After months of rearranging, 18-year-old Noah finally figured out how best to cover LMFAO’s “Sexy & I Know It” — and his rendition has just been named the day’s trending video by NBC’s Today show. You can almost see him blushing as he shares his big news with fans on Facebook and Twitter. Pretty obvious what’s going on here — Noah’s sexy and he doesn’t know it.

OH. MY GOD.

Give this dude a record deal.

The Rise and Fall of Wu-Tang, an epic infodiscography in three parts (via @boingboing)

I find that the Wu-Tang Clan albums are like the Matrix movies. The first, with little budget, pressure or influence, stood as an example of genuine creativity.
The others, with a bigger budget and less “constraints”, turned out to be exactly that - constrained, similar to the bigger things of the time and ultimately pretty forgettable, save for a few moments.
